Trans-disciplinary Agency Launches a New Practice, Adds Two and Promotes Four

 

Toronto ON, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 --- Republic President, Kathy Murphy today announced a restructure of the trans-disciplinary agency designed to illuminate its strategy and storytelling offerings. The restructuring includes the creation of a new Strategy practice along with a series of promotions and new additions to the team.

To further help marketers navigate the evolving consumer environment, Chris Hopper has been named Vice President, Strategy and will lead this new practice. In his role he will oversee the expansion of Republic’s suite of strategy offerings including Customer Journey, Empathy Mapping and its proprietary WarRoom planning platform. Hopper has played a leadership role at Republic for two years. Prior to that he was at J. Walter Thompson where he led brand communications on Tim Hortons including business and brand development in the US.

Murphy, who joined Republic as President and Partner in August, has also added top talent and made a series of promotions reinforcing the organization’s commitment to strategic planning and purpose-based storytelling through innovative, channel-neutral marketing.

Jessica Dell’Aquila joins the agency as Director of Storytelling. Dell’Aquila comes to Republic from Engagement Labs where, as Marketing Director, she created and oversaw a national communications plan to launch and support the social technology solutions company.  She has also been Director of Public Relations at Ten Thousand Coffees and Senior Consultant at FleishmanHillard. Her breadth of experience spans a decade working across a variety of disciplines including digital, social, public relations and data analysis.

Julia Ludwig has been hired as Project Manager from McDonalds Canada where she led media and influencer programs including national launches. She also brings valuable experience from working at SDI Marketing with brands like Molson Coors, PepsiCo, PGA Canada and World Vision.

Former Republic Coordinator Lawvin Hadisi has been promoted to Project Manager. She has been with the agency for close to two years. As well, both Matthew Teed-Arthur and Alycia Walker, previously Interns at the agency, have been promoted to Coordinators.

Republic’s restructure comes on the heels of a re-brand and the agency’s move to a new office in Liberty Village.
