Republic Introduces LaunchBox in Style

New start-up product signs two up and coming fashion clients

March 8, 2017, Toronto, ON –  Republic today introduced LaunchBox, a new product to help start-up organizations grow successfully, by cost effectively articulating, amplifying and monetizing their stories. The LaunchBox includes story planning and marketing support with start-up pricing and installment payment terms, allowing clients to plan their budgets.

Republic’s LaunchBox, kicked-off with Calgary-based Canadian International Fashion Film Festival (CANIFFF) and Canadian costume designer Catherine Ashton’s new stylist-curated, personalized shopping service, Along with CANIFFF and, Republic works in similar fashion with Staffy, and Bootcamp for Brains, using the LaunchBox to assist in gaining visibility, awareness and differentiation.

“By offering a package that includes storytelling, branding and business planning we hope to eliminate that choice of where to focus resources and increase the potential of success for Canadian start-ups,” said Republic President Kathy Murphy.

Fostering Canada’s entrepreneurial community is a top priority for Republic and the agency understands the type of action-oriented and results-focused marketing, startups need. According to Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada, as of December 2015, an average of 150,000 new businesses are created in Canada each year, yet only 51 per cent of new businesses survive five years. In 2013, the Government of Canada reported the total number of startup births was 78,430 compared to 83,240 deaths, resulting in a net decrease of 4,810 businesses. As entrepreneurship is the number one choice for Canadians who want more out of their careers, the LaunchBox aims to help startups overcome obstacles, allowing them to grow to their true potential.

“We too are entrepreneurs and we know that limitations in time and resources often force entrepreneurs to make the difficult choice between developing their products or services and marketing them.  This inevitably impacts their ability to sell that thing they have put their heart and soul into,” added Murphy.

Acting as a strategic partner and trusted-advisor, Republic is dedicated to helping startups curate stories, define their purpose, map out their business plan and go to market.  For more information on the LaunchBox service and how you can grow your business please visit or contact Kathy Murphy at (416)-537-4444 x 1004.
